Ok la homa, Oklahoma, OK

After a short morning drive we arrived in Oklahoma City at the Federal Building bombing site, it was a brisk morning and we had the place and the park ranger to ourselves. The blast damaged 364 structures in a twenty block radius it measured 5-6 on the Richter scale at the Oklahoma University, left a crater thirty feet in diameter by 8 feet deep and was felt up to fifty miles away. The memorial site is very peaceful and fitting representation for those lives that were taken during such a tragic event. After we were frozen we headed up town to the cowboy museum. They had a traveling exhibit of works representing the arts and craft period. They have many representations of cowboy life and there importance in our history and the development of the western frontier. For lunch we checked out a BBQ place that was featured on the Food Network, it was closed so we headed out for Amarillo Texas and some BBQ. As we crossed the plains the wind was whipping, two hands on the wheel at all times whipping.
